Step Into The Hobbit With Readathon
Win tickets for your class to a local screening of the movie The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
This autumn, The Hobbit, the timeless classic first published in September 1937, is celebrating its 75th Anniversary – which makes reading The Hobbit the ideal way to kick-start this term’s Readathon.
- Secondary Schools who register for Readathon during the Autumn term will get a special Readathon pack with extra Hobbit goodies, including teachers’ notes and an exclusive poster.
- Send us photos of your Hobbit themed reading event and they could feature on the Readathon website.
For more Hobbit inspiration visit www.hobbitsecondbreakfast.com.
We’ve got Hobbit prizes too! Hold a second breakfast event at your school on the 21st September 2012 and send us your initial Readathon donation by 7th December 2012 for your chance to win tickets to a local screening of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey for your pupils (up to 30 people).
Readathon gets children to read for pleasure, sparking a passion that can last a lifetime. And while they’re reading, your pupils will also be raising money for seriously ill chidren and earning free books for your school. To register for a Readathon pack, click here.
