Students at Huish Episcopi Secondary School recently ran their most successful Readathon. Library Assistant, Miss Phillipa Burrell, and staff from the English department encouraged Year 7 students to read as many books as they could over a period of three weeks by asking for sponsors from their friends and family. The winning form was 7LJP and all together, the school raised £676.10. During Children’s Book week (6th- 12th October) a cake sale, auction and quiz took place in the Study Centre Library. Phillipa Burrell would like to thank all the students and staff for raising this large amount of money and hopes to raise even more next year! ...And Readathon would like to thank Miss Burrell for all her hard work and congratulate the pupils on all their awesome reading!!!! ![]() |
