I love the fact that you're raising money doing something that I love. I'm going to try to beat my own record from last year which was 23 books.

I had all but given up on trying to get my daughter (Year 4) to read but this has given her the push she needed. We can't stop her now. Thank you."

Readathon knows that reading for pleasure is more important than family, wealth or social background in improving a child's future - socially, psychologically, academically and in their chosen career path. Children and young people who choose to read can transform their lives. Readathon knows how to motivate children to read for the joy of it - and by doing to help less fortunate children. Everybody wins: children, parents, teachers, schools, charities and society - but especially the children.
