- Beanstalk, the national charity that recruits, vets, trains and supports volunteers to work in primary schools with children who have fallen behind with their reading.
- Build-A-Book, offering primary school children a course in making their own book
- Healthy Books, a brilliant list of books that focus on specific health issues, with titles suitable for adults and children
- Reading Zone, information and free resources about children's books, aimed at librarians, teachers, parents and children (pre-school, primary and secondary)
- Spinebreakers, a funky and engaging site about reading for teenagers
- SwapIt, the UK's top swapping site for teens and kids
- World Book Day, the organisation behind the annual world-wide day for celebrating children's books and reading (1st Thursday in March)
- World Book Night, the organisation celebrating reading for all ages (23rd April, Shakespeare's birthday)
